Alex and Michael

We met Alex for the first time in August at our original open call at the Stella Adler Theatre, where we specifically put ads out looking for people who were Michael Jackson fans.  Alex was one of the incredible fans that came out that day, and like the Stonum family, his story also stood out.  One thing that struck us the most about him, was that he was a white kid from the OC who had been known as the MJ kid growing up.  His relationship with Michael was unique, in the respect that he had always stood by him through thick and thin, and each song inspired and helped him in a different way.  He was also the only fan that came in and talked about Michael Jackson’s song “Morphine” and how obvious Michael’s pain had been, if people had chosen to listen more closely.

So we went to the OC and interviewed Alex, his parents, his music teacher, his best friend and his twin Matt.  His twin, who even though enjoys Michael Jackson, was the first to state that Alex’s connection with Michael could only be compared to that of an additional family member due to the bond they shared.
